The terms of infertility could be defined by:
§ Infertility is one year of unprotected coitus without conception
§ The term "primary infertility" is applied to the couple who has never achieved a pregnancy
§ "secondary infertility" implies that at least one previous conception has taken place
The prime causes of infertility (not applicable to all population):
- coital problems
- endometrical mucous
- tubal damage
- ovulatory failure
- sperm problem
- and many of unexplained causes (up to 25%) for all causes
